Embroidered Poetry: Artist Lecture

Accompanying the special exhibition Embroidered Poetry: Lunéville L’atelier de Broderie, Ada Zhang and Rexy Sung, founders of Lunéville L’atelier de Broderie, gave a lecture about the cross-cultural history of embroidery and the development of their art practice. The Silk Road brought the art of embroidery from Asia to France. Now these two artists brought the French couture tradition back to Shanghai from Maison Lesage, the legendary workshop that supplies the most famous luxury brands.
