Academic Roundtable: “Entering the Soulful Homeland of Ink-Wash: Li Xiaoke in Our Eyes”
Accompanying the Powerlong Museum Education Festival and the special exhibition “Soulful Homeland of Ink-Wash: The Chinese Ink Paintings of Li Xiaoke,” Powerlong Museum organized a roundtable talk on the artist Li Xiaoke. The media expert Yang Jinlin was invited as the moderator. Three distinguished guest speakers – Han Shuli, Chairperson of the Tibet Artists Association, Wang Yong, eminent art theorist, and Wu Hongliang, Vice President of the Beijing Academy of Painting, systematically reviewed Li Xiaoke’s career and his artistic
conceptions. The roundtable talk offered the public an insight into the artist’s creative process and the deeper meanings of Chinese ink-wash paintings.
